Casio WK-200 76-Key Personal Keyboard with MP3/Audio Connection and 570 Tones

Bought from Costco, adapter included. The sound is pretty bad, even when compared to a 5-yr old Yamaha I’m retiring. Didn’t have a chance to figure out if I can load new tones .. wife didn’t like it at all. The button layout is a bit non-conventional.

There are so many things wrong with this keyboard and here are a few reasons.
Keys: Creaks and clicks when played.
Sustain: Weak sustains, unable to pick up by professional microphone.
Pedal: Here’s the worst part. Non Casio pedals will work opposite as it should and there is no solution according to Casio’s customer service.
I have a Yamaha FC4 Piano Style Foot Pedal and here’s how it works.
Pedal depressed you’d get short and separated sounds; like you’d normally get with out the pedal.
Pedal not depressed it will sustain forever. After a while the sound of all notes just blend together sounding very bad.
This is a very tacky keyboard.

My kids are using this key board for piano lessons and have been using it for over 6 months. It sounds great and the keys feel like real piano keys. It is everything it claims to be and for the price it has exceeded our expectations.

This keyboard has ALOT of features. In fact, you will probably spend alot of time digging through the instruction manual to figure out how to use them all. Once you learn the confusing button layout, this is an awesome keyboard because it is just so DAMN feature packed. It has three way speakers which is good when you input audio from an electronic drumkit or MP3 player.
I own some high end guitars and a high end Roland drumkit, and this doesn’t compare to high end equipment. When playing along to my lesson DVD, there is a MASSIVE difference between this keyboard and the tone of Pete Sears’ REAL grand piano. There is simply no comparison, but hey, that is probably a 20,000 dollar Piano.

After reading many reviews I decided upon this product. It is more than I expected and the family is enjoying it. The only bad thing is it does not come with an electrical adaptor so unless you have a ton of huge batteries hanging around you won’t be able to play it right away so I recommend that get the adaptor at the same time.
The sound is fantastic!!
