Piano For All reviewed
What to expect...
Introducing Robin Hall’s “Piano for All”
course. This course is unique in several ways.
1. This is the
best part… Robin has dozens of testimonials raving about his course. Many of these
include the person’s photo. Nearly all include their email addresses and are open to communication with you.
Robin has assured me that all “testimonials are 100% genuine and verifiable.” To foil the
spammers, you must request the email addresses directly from Robin. This is special…
2. It is presented as a series of ten books. The first four books lay a
foundation based on rhythms and chords. Then comes various styles including the classics. Learning to play by
ear and music sight reading are taught together in this course. The audio and video clips are
integrated right into the books. A joy to use.
3. The Books are available individually or in small groups.
However the special 50 percent half price
offer for the entire course is very attractive.
A Best Buy. Highly recommended for teens
and older students.
4. There is a huge amount of material provided. 500 audio and 200 video
clips. All this data results in a total package of over 420 Megabytes. It is divided into 11 zip files
for downloading. Each zip file contains one whole book including the text, audios and videos for that
book. (The eleventh file is the bonus book.)
This allows you to download each book when you are ready for it (if you have limited disk space.)
As always – downloads of megabyte sized files are very difficult on very basic dialup internet connections.
However a solution exists - on the next page (the Piano for All site,) a CD-ROM is mentioned. Robin says that
this is primarily for purchasers who are unable to download the course files. It's only available by special
request. If it's possible to download the files, please do so. The CD contains the download data -
nothing additional - your PC is still needed to do the course.
5. Robin says he will answer your emails “as quickly as possible.” He
responded to my three emails in less than 24 hours each. Amazing since we are about 8
time zones apart.
Here are a some quotes
from a few of the many testimonials on the “full
details” page.
Pay attention – this is really different…

"Robin, At the risk of sounding like a Robin Hall groupie, I felt the
need to send thanks again for the course. I’ve been following books one and two fairly religiously
(i.e., at least an hour a day, sometimes more, which says much for the enjoyment factor)… For
the first time, I feel that I’m getting somewhere musically. …it’s exhilarating. I’ve been a
Piano for all pupil for less than a month… I’ve
learned more about music than I have in several years of conventional study. Enough of this
gushing; the keyboard beckons. Thanks, Garry". Garry Copeland, Stafford, UK (email available upon
request)
"I'm not usually the type to write reviews but I just had
to write and tell you that this is the best money I have spent in a long long time -
your course is TEN times more than I could have hoped
for - I can't thank you enough and your email support has been invaluable...” Gavin
Bracewell, UK
"…a great course that
actually delivers on its promises for a change. I couldn't play a note but now I feel like
I've had years of lessons. If only I had read your books years ago." Harry Reid, Writer, UK
"… relaxing and rewarding when I play something that makes
my wife call our friends and tells them how Jim has taught himself piano. … you are
more than welcome to publish my information and have them
e-mail or call. I have purchased other systems to teach piano in the past and have found
them lacking in both their system and their understanding of the wide range of student
capabilities. You address both these issues very well…" Jim Fell, Florida, USA (email available
upon request)
“…the thing is, Pianoforall, practically changed my life... your
method is amazing, focusing of us, people who play by ear, but at the same time, you give us a
simple approach of learning notes, without been too complicated, but the important thing is that any person who play by ear can use this
method... I highly recommend to anyone that is frustrated of all the note-reading
focus boring methods. …Robin, you've got a wonderful product! …congratulations! You've made a great
contribution to the world of music education!!!!!!!!" Jem Diaz, Panama (Latin America) (email
available upon request)
"…can play piano a bit but your books have really helped me move
on tremendously. I was skeptical about your 'sight reading
aids' but they really do work! - I was able to play through the pieces with hardly any
mistakes" Terry Thorpe, London
"… especially like book
six. I have wanted to play jazz and blues for years and I can't believe I'm now doing it
with such ease. All my friends are totally amazed at my sudden improvement…" Gary Hamilton,
Teacher
“… thank you for what I can only describe as a MAGNIFICENT course,
I have learnt more in 10 days with pianoforall than the
past two years with the traditional method of piano teaching. …sound like a pro-musician and
I've only just finished book one.”
Paul Diamond, Oldham, UK
"Hi Robin, …Here is a true
story you may find interesting. I actually bought two courses! (Birthday gift from my wife
and son) The other one is almost the same price as yours and is so badly put together you would not
believe it and the whole thing is a complete load of rubbish and a waste of money (although I have
asked for a refund but as yet have not had any reply). Daniel McGowan, Kent, UK. (email
available upon request)
